ABOUT Chhena Tamator aur Matar Ki Sabzi RECIPE

Milk is a complete meal in itself, it is also such a versatile ingredient which is an intregral part of most of the Indian desserts and even some delicious curries. Even if the milk gets split we can use in dessert or curries. Today in "Jai Ki Rasoi Se" use the split milk and made a very yummy, delicious and healthy curry called "Chhena Tamator aur Matar Ki Sabzi"

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Curdled or Split Milk (Chhena) - 100 Grams
  2. Finely Chopped Tomatoes (Barik Kate Tamator) - 1 Cup
  3. Green Peas (Hare Matar) - 1 Cup
  4. Finely Chopped Onion (Barik Kati Pyaz) - 1 Big Size
  5. Cumin Seeds (Shahi Jeera) - I Tea Spoon
  6. Ginger & Garlic Paste (Adrak & Lasoon Paste) - 1 Table Spoon
  7. Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) - ½ Tea Spoon
  8. Red Chili Powder (Lal Mirch Powder) - 1 Table Spoon
  9. Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder) - 1 Table Spoon
  10. Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder) - 1 Tea Spoon
  11. Whole Spice Powder (Garam Masala Powder) - ½ Tea Spoon
  12. Finely Chopped Green Coriander (Barik Kata Hara Dhaniya) - 1 Bunch
  13. Green Chilies Slit (Kati Hari Mirch) - 5 to 6
  14. Oil - As per requirement
  15. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a Non-Stick Pan or Kadai. Once it is hot, add the cumin seeds and allow them to crackle
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the moisture of the paste is evaporated
  3. Now add finely chopped onion and cook till they become light or golden brown
  4. Add green peas, finely chopped tomatoes and salt according to taste. Mix all the ingredients and cook it till tomatoes and green pease are cooked completely
  5. At this stage add all dry ingredients like red chilli, turmeric, cumin, coriander and whole spice powder. Mix and cook it oil get separated
  6. Now add curdled or slpit milk. Mix and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes
  7. Finely add finely chopped green coirander and slit green chillies. Mix and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes
  8. The dish is ready to be served with Naan, Roti, Phulka, Paratha or any flavored rice
