This recipe is traditional in Madhy Pradesh. It is very tasty to eat and easy to make.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rice flour 1 +1/2 cup
  2. curd 1 cup
  3. Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  4. For sugar syrup :
  5. sugar 1+1/4 cup
  6. water 1 cup
  7. Cardomom powder 1-2 tsp
  8. Keshar few


  1. Take a bowl, put rice flour & curd little by little and mix it.
  2. Batter should not be too thick nor thin. (If curd is too thick, then add little water)
  3. Mix till no lumps will be in batter. Mix it properly for 2 minutes
  4. Consistency like this.
  5. Cover & set aside for an hour.
  6. For sugar syrup :
  7. Take boiler and put sugar & water.
  8. Melt sugar properly at medium flame.
  9. Sugar is properly dissolved, now syrup cook for 5-6 minutes.
  10. Sugar syrup is ready, now add cardamom powder, keshar and mix it . Off the flame.
  11. After 1 hour, add baking soda in batter and mix it.
  12. Take batter in plate, spread equally.
  13. Heat oil for frying.
  14. When oil is heated medium high, then dip flat spatula in oil.
  15. And take batter like this from plate and put in oil for frying.
  16. Don't fry excess at a time, otherwise it will stick with each other.
  17. Fry till golden brown colour comes at medium flame.
  18. It is properly fried, now take out. Put in sugar syrup for at least 10 minutes.
  19. And then take in plate. Garnish with finely chopped pistachio and almond.
  20. It is tasty to eat when it is little bit hot.
