Very famous healthy north Indian summer drink

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 cup milk
  2. 15 cashews
  3. 15 almonds
  4. 15 raisines
  5. 2 tbs melon seeds
  6. 1 tsp fennal seed
  7. 10-12 green cardamon
  8. 20 - 25 black peppar
  9. 2 tsp poppy seeds
  10. 1/3 cup sugar
  11. 1 tsp rose water
  12. Few drops of kewada
  13. For garnishing
  14. Few rose petals
  15. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  16. Few saffron strands
  17. 2 tbs Chopped dry fruits

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl add cashew, almond, rainsines, melon seeds, black papar, Cardamom, poppy seeds, fennel seeds.
  2. Soak all ingredients in sufficient for at least 5 hours or over night.
  3. Darin the water and grind the nuts till smooth paste in grinder or blender.
  4. Add grinded paste into milk and mix well.
  5. Strain the thandai paste,
  6. Add suger, rose water, kewada essence, saffron, mix well
  7. Pour thandai in individual glasses, garnish with rose petals and chopped nutts, serve chilled
