Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour - 1 and 1/2 cup
  2. Butter - 75 gms
  3. Brown sugar - 1 tbsp
  4. Milk as needed to form a medium consistency dough (about 1/2 cup)
  5. For the filling:-
  6. Apple - 4 medium sized
  7. Butter - 1/2 tbsp
  8. Sugar - 3/4 cup or as per taste
  9. Apple juice - 2 tbsp
  10. Bread crumbs - 1 tbsp
  11. Cinnamon powder- a pinch
  12. Ice cream to serve

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, take the flour and butter and mix well till it forms crumbs like texture.
  2. Add milk as required to form a puri like dough. Keep this aside covered with a cloth for 10 mins.
  3. Heat a pan, add the butter then add the apple and saute. Next, add the sugar, apple juice and give it a stir. Let it cook till the apples are nice and half done, then add the bread crumbs and cook till all the liquid evaporates. Keep this aside.
  4. Now take the 2/3 of the dough and roll it bigger then your pie mould.
  5. Grease the mould, then put in the rolled chapati and press it properly. Cut the extra dough if any and prick the pie with a fork so that it does not puff.
  6. Meanwhile preheat the oven at 180 degrees C for 10 mins.
  7. Put the pie to bake for 10 mins. Then remove and put in the apple filling, cover it with dough strips and bake for 20 mins.
  8. Remove and serve it hot with ice cream.
