A popular Uttar Pradesh Non vegetarian appetizer from Mughlai cuisine uses the leg pieces coated with Yogurt and cashew taste delicious.My Variation With a Layer of Dahi Pudina chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Marination :
  2. 1/4 cup Thick leg curd(Greek Yogurt)
  3. 2 Tbsp Fresh Cream
  4. 2 Tbsp cashew nut
  5. 1 Tbsp Finely chopped Ginger
  6. 1 Tbsp Finely chopped Garlic
  7. 1 Tbsp Lemon juice
  8. 1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder
  9. 1 Tsp Cumin powder
  10. 1 Tsp Garam masala powder
  11. 1 Tsp Red chilli Powder
  12. 1 Tbsp Black pepper powder
  13. 1 Tbsp Lemon juice
  14. 1/2 Cup chopped Coriander leaves
  15. 1/2 Cup Chopped Mint leaves
  16. 4 Green chilli
  17. 1/2 Tsp Vinegar
  18. Salt To taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean chicken legs pieces and pierce small cut with Knife.
  2. In a mixer jar, Grind Cashew nut,Coriander leaf, Mint leaf,Green chilli to a fine thick paste by adding little amount of water.
  3. Combine yogurt,Fresh cream, Ginger, Garlic, Lemon juice,Vinegar and mix well.
  4. Add Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder,Cumin powder,pepper powder, Garam masala, Cashew Nut paste,Coriander leaf and mint leaf paste Salt. Mix well to make thick paste.
  5. Add Chicken leg pieces, Coat well and Refrigerate for about 1Hour to marinate.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.Place the marinated Chicken on it and Shallow fry on high heat till it becomes Golden brown.
  7. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5-8mins. Garnish with Onion, Mint leaves
  8. Serve hot.
