kheer is made during festivals all over Rajasthan and its made of rice I gave twist to the kheer by adding flavor of gulkand and believe me the taste was awesome

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2litres of milk
  2. 1/4th cup of rice soaked for 1/2 an hour
  3. 150 gms of sugar (you can adjust according to your taste)
  4. 1/4th cup of gulkand
  5. 1/2 tsp of cardmom powder
  6. 1/4 cup of almond and pistachios slivers
  7. some edible rose petals


  1. take milk in deep pan and keep on flame
  2. as soon as starts boiling reduce flame
  3. reduce milk to 3/4 th quantity
  4. add soaked rice
  5. let the rice cook and milk will also reduce gradually
  6. now when it reduce to half the quantity add sugar
  7. when sugar dissolves add cardmom powder
  8. add gulkand
  9. mix for two minutes and switch off the flame
  10. add almond and pistachios slivers
  11. garnish with some slivers and edible rose petals
  12. serv hot or chilled both tastes good
