a mouth watering chaat recipe,very easy to make and very yummy in taste

papdi Chaat

Ingredients to make papdi Chaat

  • maida 1 cup
  • salt
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • tamarind pulp 7-8
  • yoghurt
  • chaat masala
  • red chilli powder
  • sev
  • chopped onion
  • chopped coriander leaves
  • oil for frying
  • sugar 4 tsp
  • black salt

How to make papdi Chaat

  1. Take 1 cup maida,add 1 tbsp oil
  2. Add water and make a dough
  3. Make a dough
  4. Make small balls
  5. Roll in a rolling pin
  6. With the use of a fork make small holes
  7. Deep fry these papdi in low flame
  8. Till golden brown and crisp
  9. Take out in a plate
  10. Peel boiled potatoes
  11. Add salt and mash them well
  12. Soak tamarind in water..add 4 tsp sugar
  13. Mash them well
  14. Discard the seeds.. the tamarind sauce is ready
  15. Arrange the papdi in a plate.Spread a thin layer of mashed potatoes all over evenly
  16. Spread yoghurt mixed with some water
  17. Add tamarind syrup
  18. Add chopped onion and coriander leaves
  19. Sprinkle red chilli powder and black salt
  20. Sprinkle sev all over
  21. Grate beetroot and carrot
  22. Sprinkle chat masala
  23. Some more coriander leaves
  24. Serve
