Choco coco modak is for all those modak lovers who are running short of time and still want to welcome Ganapati Bappa with his favorite offering 'modaks'. As the name suggests, the two main ingredients are chocolate and coconut, making these modaks is very simple with very few yummy ingredients and is ready in a matter of few minutes. I used a modak mould to shape them but you can very easily do it with your hands as well. I bet kids are going to love these choco coco modaks! Choco coco modak is a variation to traditional modaks which are either, steamed, fried or made with khoya. This same recipe can be used to create ladoos.

In a microwave safe bowl, add the condensed milk and chocolate chips and pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mix it well and microwave it again for 15 seconds. (The warm condensed milk will melt the chocolate.)
Add desiccated coconut and chopped nuts to the chocolate and condensed milk mixture. The mixture should have a texture of wet sand, if the mixture is wet add a little more desiccated coconut.
Divide this mixture into equal portions. Press each portion into a modak mould, then unmould the modak and cover the tip with some more desiccated coconut.
Let them chill in a refrigerator to set. These modaks do not have a long shelf life hence it should be consumed in a day's time.
