Choco Coco Modak

Ingredients to make Choco Coco Modak

  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/4th cup condensed milk
  • 1/4th cup chocolate chips
  • 3 tbsp roughly chopped nuts
  • Little oil/ghee to grease the modak mould

How to make Choco Coco Modak

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, add the condensed milk and chocolate chips and pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mix it well and microwave it again for 15 seconds. (The warm condensed milk will melt the chocolate.)
  2. Add desiccated coconut and chopped nuts to the chocolate and condensed milk mixture. The mixture should have a texture of wet sand, if the mixture is wet add a little more desiccated coconut.
  3. Divide this mixture into equal portions. Press each portion into a modak mould, then unmould the modak and cover the tip with some more desiccated coconut.
  4. Let them chill in a refrigerator to set. These modaks do not have a long shelf life hence it should be consumed in a day's time.

My Tip:

White chocolate can also be used to get white colored modaks.
