Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Milk- 1 bowl
  2. Sugar-1 bowl
  3. Custard powder 2-3 tbsp
  4. Lukewarm milk-3- 4 tbsp
  5. Coloured saunf (fennel seeds) for garnishing
  6. Poha/ Flattened Rice- 1 Bowl
  7. Chopped almonds or any dry fruits of your choice to garnish
  8. Cardamom seeds- 2

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk and add in the cardamom seeds.
  2. Next, add the poha/flattened rice and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  3. Now take the lukewarm milk and make a smooth paste with the custard powder, so that no lumps are formed. Pour in the custard milk paste into the boiling milk and stir it well.
  4. Next add the sugar and let it boil on a low flame till it is thick and creamy. Pour this mixture into a bowl and keep it in the refrigerator to set for sometime.
  5. Take it out and unmould it on a plate like a cake or pudding.
  6. Garnish it with almonds and coloured saunf (fennel seeds) to enjoy!
