About Khadpudiya Recipe

A delicious sweet filling stuffed inside and deep fried.. It is made especially in Lar a small town in Deoria. My mom is from Lar and a very good cook so I was lucky to learn from her

Khadpudiya

Ingredients to make Khadpudiya

  • Filling
  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Whole wheat flour 3/4 cup
  • Desi ghee 3/4 cup
  • sugar 1 1/2cup
  • cardamom powder 2 tsp
  • coconut grated 1/2 cup
  • almond 1/4 cup( finely chopped)
  • Kishmish 1/4 cup ( chopped finely)
  • kewra 1 tsp
  • Fresh cream / milk 2 tbsp
  • Dough
  • maida 2 cup
  • water as required
  • ghee for deep frying

How to make Khadpudiya

  1. Roast rice flour in a Wok for few minutes and empty in a container
  2. Next roast atta to slightly golden in colour
  3. Mix both atta
  4. Now add all the ingredients of stuffing
  5. Add cream or milk accordingly so that the filling is easy to fill ...
  6. Need Maida into a soft dough and keep to rest for an hour
  7. Stuff the stuffing in the poori dough and roll
  8. Heat tawa and cook on both sides
  9. Heat ghee and deep fry the poori and serve when cool

My Tip:

Make filling a day ahead and add nuts according to your choice
