Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. yeast 1 tsp
  2. water 1/4 cup
  3. Wheat flour 1 cup
  4. walnut 30 gm
  5. Poppy seeds 2 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder1/4 tsp
  7. coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  8. jeera powder 1/2 tsp
  9. salt 1/4 tsp
  10. mint leaves 10-12
  11. Chopped coriander leaves 4 tbsp


  1. Soak 1 tsp of yeast in 1/4 cup of lukewarm water for 5 min..
  2. Mix salt,clarified butter into wheat flour and mix into yeast water..
  3. Knead in a soft dough and keep it in a hot place for fermentation.
  4. Soak walnuts and poppy seeds separately in two bowl for one hour..
  5. Make paste of poppy seeds...
  6. Make a paste of mint leaves,coriander leaves and walnut..you can also use mixer
  7. In this paste add jeera powder,coriander powder,poppy seeds,red chilli powder salt and mix well..
  8. Divide the dough 6 equal parts and give each bowl shape..
  9. Stuffed the bowls and wrap it..
  10. Place the siddu in a perforated pan and cover it dry cloth ....you can also use momo pan..
  11. In another high neck utensils boil water and place the pan upon it..lid the pan and steam for 15-20 min..
  12. Served with clarifrad butter....
