ABOUT Cream Cheese RECIPE

Cream cheese is easy to make at home. It is made from cheese which is made from full fat milk. It can be used in cakes, sandwiches, etc.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Full fat milk - 2 litres
  2. Lemon juice - approx. 1 tbsp or as needed
  3. Salt - a Pinch

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add the milk and let it boil. After it starts boiling, add the lemon, within a few seconds the milk will cuddle and whey will be separated to get cheese.
  2. Seive it in muslin cloth and keep it for 15-20 minutes. (Don't throw the water.)
  3. In the food processor, add the cheese and salt. Blend until you get a soft and smooth paste. If it is still grainy in texture, add little of the cheese water left (whey) and blend it again.
  4. Within few minutes the cream cheese will be ready. (It can be preserved in the refrigerator for a week.)
