ABOUT Karela Masala RECIPE

Typical north style Karele ki sabzi with boiled aloo added at the end .Authentic punjabi masale mirchi haldi aamchur,chaat masala optional.Cooked Stirfried with onions indeed its a great dish and side dish .Goes great with roti parantha dal rice too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 grams /5 karelas medium
  2. 2 boiled potatoes cut in quarters
  3. 2 onions cut long
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1tspn mango powder
  6. 1 tspn red chilli powder
  7. 1 tspn dhaniya zeera powder
  8. 1/2tspn hing
  9. 2 tblspn oil
  10. 1 tblspn lime juice

Instructions

  1. Per wash cut karela round s apply little salt keep aside for 10 minutes
  2. Wash off the salt keep in collage to dry
  3. Keep boiled potatoes ready
  4. Rub karela rounds squeeze out water
  5. Heat oil in pan add the chopped onions with the karela rounds
  6. Saute well, stir fry for 1minute
  7. Add all dry spicess
  8. Mix well cover cook for 8-10 minutes stirring well every two two minutes.
  9. Add boiled pita toda and stri fry too
  10. Squeeze in lemon juice and add 1tspn sugar here,fry crispy
  11. Karela masala is ready to serve
