Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup soaked black chana
  2. 1 choped onion slices
  3. 1 tsp grated ginger
  4. 1 chopped green chilli
  5. 1 tsp cumin seed
  6. ½ tsp red chilli powder
  7. ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  8. ½ tsp jeera powder
  9. ½ tbsp homemade garam masala
  10. ½ tbsp oil
  11. Salt acc to taste
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. ½ cup of water


  1. Collect all ingredients.
  2. Take a pressure cooker add oil for heating. When oil is heat,add jeera,green chilli n onion slices and stire it.
  3. When onion is golden brown in color then add all spices including salt. And mix it well. When oil is separated now add boiled black chana. And mix it.

  5. Now add ½ cup of water and mix..cover with lid. Wait 5 to 6 whistles in low flame..after 25min check the chana, if chana is soft n mix with spices. Now black chana is ready for serve. Garnished with corisnder leaves. Serve with plain or hot tea.
