Lachha Paratha is famous North Indian paratha recipe. I used wheat flour to prepare this parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Wheat flour - 2 cups
  2. Milk - 1/2 cup
  3. water - accordingly
  4. oil - 2 tsp + 4 tsp(adjust)
  5. ghee - 2 tsp
  6. salt as per taste


  1. Take a wide bowl add wheat flour, salt mix it. Now add milk mix it well.
  2. Prepare smooth dough my adding water accordingly. And rest it for 20 - 30 min by closing it with wet cloth.
  3. After 30 min knead dough well and divide dough into small balls of equal balls.
  4. Roll the dough into thin circle and apply ghee/oil. Now cut the roti into small strip and collect the strips as shown below.
  5. Collect all strips and brush oil on it. Stretch the collected strip as much as possible and roll it as shown below.
  6. Press the edges and roll to thick circle.
  7. Heat a pan fry the above side by applying oil, till it changes color both the sides. Later take paratha into plate and crush it by placing with 2 hands.
  8. That's it tasty and layered lachha paratha is ready to serve.
