Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fish fillet- 200 gms
  2. Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
  4. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  5. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  7. Chopped green chillies - 2
  8. Garam masala - 2 tsp
  9. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  10. Chopped onions - 1/2 cup
  11. Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
  12. Boiled and mashed potatoes - 1 cup
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. Oil
  15. Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take the fish fillet, clean it very well and cut into small pieces.
  2. Marinate the fish pieces with chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  3. After that take a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil on medium flame.
  4. Now put the fish fillet and cook them well on low flame. Once done keep aside.
  5. When the fish pieces cool down, shred them into very small pieces.
  6. Now take a kadhai, heat 3 tbsp oil on medium flame. When it's hot add cumin seeds and fennel seeds.
  7. Once they start to splutter, add chopped green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and onions.
  8. Saute this until the onions turn nice pink and translucent.
  9. Now it's time to add chilli powder. garam masala and salt. Again saute this for about 2 minutes.
  10. Add the shredded fish pieces & mix well.
  11. Now add the boiled mashed potatoes and mix all the ingredients very well.
  12. Finally add some coriander leaves to get the mixture for cutlet ready.
  13. Once the mixture cools down, make small pedas and shallow fry them in a pan till they turn golden brown on both sides.
