Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Grated coconut skin removed- 2- cups
  2. Chopped pistachios- 2- tbsp
  3. Ghee- 2- tesp
  4. Sugar- 2- cups
  5. Generous pinch of saffron- 1- pinch
  6. Hot water- 2- tbsp


  1. Apply ghee on a tray and set aside.
  2. Soak saffron in hot water for 30 minutes .
  3. Place pan on low flame.
  4. Saute the grated coconut without browning it.
  5. Add sugar and stir.
  6. Once it turns to a lump add saffron with water.
  7. Add ghee and stir till a bit dry.
  8. Transfer to the tray ,spread to desired thickness .
  9. Sprinkle pistachio and press lightly.
  10. Let set for few seconds, and slice it.
