Ingredients to make Malpua

  • maida/ Flour 1 small bowl
  • Curd/ yogurt 4 tsp
  • Suzi/ Semolina 1 small bowl (equal to the flour)
  • sugar 1 bowl
  • Pistas/pistachios 4-5
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • oil- for frying

How to make Malpua

  1. Make a batter of the maida, suzi, curd and milk together. Mix it well so that it forms a batter that drops easily.
  2. Heat oil in a flat pan.
  3. Drop a spoonful of the batter with a little distance into the hot oil. Let it fry well till it floats on top of the oil. Then turn it and fry from both the sides.
  4. Take them out on a napkeen to absorb the excess oil.
  5. In another pan, add the sugar to prepare the chashni. Don't cook the chashni too much. Turn off the gas after it boils 2-3 times.
  6. Now dip the malpuas one by one into the chashni and take it out in a plate immediately. Garnish it with pistas and serve.

My Tip:

Do not dip the malpuas for a long time in the chashni, other wise it will break and become very soft.
