Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sooji/ samolina- 1- cup
  2. Curd- 3/4- cup
  3. Fruit salt/ eno- 1- tsp
  4. Salt- 1- tsp
  5. Mozarella/ processed cheese- 1/2- cup
  6. Sambhar powder- 1- tsp
  7. Curry leaves- 5/6- leaves
  8. Mustard seeds- 1- tsp
  9. Fin,ely chopped onions,bell peppers, carrots- 1- cup
  10. Ginger garlic paste- 1- tsp
  11. Red chilli sauce- 1- tsp
  12. Green chilli sauce- 1- tsp
  13. Tomato ketchup- 2- tsp
  14. Soya sauce- 1- tsp
  15. Pasta sauce optional- 1- tsp
  16. Oil- 2- tbsp


  1. This is a quick breakfast recipe of paniyaram which are healthy and easy to make with a twist in its taste.
  2. Mix samolina,cird and salt in a bowl. add water to form a batter similar to idli batter and asjust the consistency by adding more water if needed. Now prepare a tempering im a small pan by heating 2 tsp oil and adding all the ingredients of temper..curry leaves,mustard seeds and sambhar powder
  3. Now pour the prepared tempering into the batter. finally add fruit salt to the batter and mix gently.
  4. Fill in your prepared batter into your appe pan and insert small cubes of cheese to each. you can avoid cheese if you are on diet. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 5-7 minutes from one side. Now invert each appe and let cook on the other sude as well. Remove from flame when your appe are golden brown om both sides.
  5. Now its time to give twist to your ordinary appe. Heat a woke or pan. Stir fry your vegetables on hogh flame for 5 minute only so that they remain crunchy. Add in all sauces and give a quick stir.
  6. Finally add ypur prepared appe into the sauce and gently mix them so that they are well coated with sauce.
  7. Your instant fusion appe are ready....a sumptuous mix of south India spices and Chinese sauces. Serve them with your favorite dip.
