I celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi by making these favourite ladoos which my husband loves.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Whole wheat flour- 2 katoris/ bowls
  2. Pure ghee- 1 katori/ bowl
  3. Milk- 2 tbsp
  4. Boora- 3/4 katori/ bowl or according to taste
  5. Seasame Seeds (Til) 1 tbsp
  6. elaichi powder 1 tbsp
  7. raisins 10
  8. almonds 5-6
  9. Kesar/ saffron syrup 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take the wheat flour in a bowl. Add in the 1/2 cup of melted ghee and 2 tbsp of milk and sesame seeds. Then knead and form a smooth dough.
  2. Add a pinch of water if required. Then allow the dough to rest for some time.
  3. Then divide the dough into 5 or 6 parts. Now roll thick rotis and make holes in them with your fingers.
  4. Cook these rotis on a hot tawa over a low flame. Then cook it well on both sides.
  5. Allow these rotis to cool down. Then grind these roties in a mixer.
  6. Take out the powder in a plate. Add in the sugar, cardamom, powder raisins and chopped almonds.
  7. Next, add in the remaining ghee. Mix this entire mixture very well together.
  8. Roll them into small ladoos with your hands.
  9. Serve them instantly!
