Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida/Flour 250 gms
  2. Sugar 500 gms
  3. 2 tbsp Saltless Butter at room temperature
  4. Ghee to deep fry
  5. 1/4 cup almonds, sliced
  6. Salt 1 pinch
  7. 1 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. To the maida/flour, add salt and 1 tbsp of hot ghee and knead to make soft dough. Then keep it aside for 1 hour.
  2. Make the sugar syrup by adding equal amounts of sugar and water, then add cardamom powder once it's done.
  3. Divide the dough into six equal parts and roll chapatti shapes from it.
  4. To one chapatti, apply butter on one side and keep another over it. Then apply butter on the second chapatti, keep the third over it and once again apply butter on it.
  5. Now make a tight roll of it and repeat this procedure with the remaining 3 chapattis.
  6. Cut the roll into discs of 1/2 inch, then press each roll gently with your palms.
  7. Deep fry them on a low flame, then soak them in a sugar syrup for 5 mins.
  8. Repeat this process with the remaining chappatis.
  9. Garnish with chopped almonds and serve.
