Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1/2 kg Desiccated coconut
  2. 1/2 kg Sugar
  3. 1/2 litre Milk
  4. 1/4 kg Mawa (home made)
  5. 20 to 25 string saffron, melted in 1 tbsp milk
  6. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  7. 1 cup desiccated coconut for garnish
  8. ghee to grease the hands
  9. 200 ml fresh cream (Amul)
  10. 1 cup Milk powder

Instructions

  1. In big pan, boil milk and sugar. Cook till you get 1 string chashni, it will take around 20 minutes.
  2. Add home made mawa, kesar milk, cardamom powder and coconut powder. Mix well everything and cook for further 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Cool it for 1 hour, then grease hands with ghee and make laddus. Roll in coconut powder and store.
  4. For the home made mava : Fresh cream and milk powder mix both well and keep in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave it for 5 to 6 minutes, stir every minute. Mawa will be ready.
