Ingredients to make Kerala Style Paneer

  • 100 Grams Paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 1/2 Red pepper
  • 1/2 Yellow pepper
  • 20 curry leaves
  • 2 Chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomato
  • 2 chopped green chilies
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 Black Cardamons
  • 2 Kashmiri Red Chili Whole
  • 4 cloves,
  • 2 Tablespoon oil

How to make Kerala Style Paneer

  1. Heat oil in a pan, crackle the cloves and cardamons and fry until its fragrant.
  2. Add in the mustard seeds and let them crackle, add onions, green chillies and curry leaves,ginger-garlic paste saute and fry till its tender.
  3. Then add the paneer pieces and fry on a high flame and brown them.
  4. Add chopped bell pepper and saute it for few minutes.
  5. Now lower the flame and add salt,Kashmiri red chilli, pepper powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and saute and fry until the oil separates.
  6. Add the tomatoes and cook it in a low flame for 4-5 mins stirring from time to time.
  7. Now add 3/4 cup of water and cook for another 5-7 mins.
  8. Serve it hot with some garlic naan or zeera rice.
