Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250 gms shelled and cleaned prawns
  2. 1 coconut
  3. 2 tsp haldi
  4. 3 tsp mustard paste
  5. Chilli powder as per your taste
  6. 3 tsp dahi
  7. 2 - 3 chopped green chillies
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tbsp mustard oil
  10. Wheat flour and water as required

Instructions

  1. Knead enough flour in the water to cover the entire coconut.
  2. Grate the coconut after carefully breaking it. Leave the layer of the coconut on the shell.
  3. Marinate prawns with salt and haldi for 15 minutes.
  4. Lightly saute them till just about cooked.
  5. Mix with mustard paste well beaten with haldi, chilli powder, 2-3 tsps of dahi, grated coconut, chopped green chillies and some mustard oil.
  6. Pack the shell with this mix and close it with the other half of the shell.
  7. Roll out the kneaded dough and cover the coconut well with this, taking care first to seal it well down the middle where the two shells join.
  8. Place this in a preheated oven and baked it at 200 degrees for 2 hours.
  9. Crack open the dough and serve the smoky and earthy Prawns.
