ABOUT Topra (Coconut) Paak RECIPE

One of the fastest dessert to make and totally delicious, that Gujaratis love.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 4 cups freshly grated coconut
  2. 1 can condensed milk
  3. 8 pods ground green cardamom
  4. 1 teaspoon finely grated nutmeg
  5. 85 gms melted butter or ghee
  6. 2 tablespoons milk
  7. 20 strands saffron

Instructions

  1. Soak the saffron strands in warm milk for about 15 -20 minutes.
  2. Mix all the other ingredients and saute in a kadai for about 5 minutes on a high flame for the flavours to integrate.
  3. Transfer to a baking dish and pack it nice and not too tight. Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degree centigrade for about 20 minutes.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree centigrade for about 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the milk and saffron mix on it.
  6. Once cool refrigerate it.
  7. Best had warm so zap the needed amount for about 30 seconds just before eating.
