Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. 1 dry coconut
  2. 1/2 cup mawa
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1/2 cup water
  5. 3 tbsp melon seeds
  6. 3 tbsp chopped Almonds
  7. 3 tbsp chopped cashews
  8. 1 tbsp gond katira
  9. 5 small cardamom
  10. 1 tbsp crushed mishri

Instructions

  1. First grate the dry coconut and roast it slightly. Then roast the melon seeds, chopped almonds and chopped cashews.
  2. Deep fry gond katira in desi ghee. Ghee should be hot and gond should be properly dried. No moisture at all else it would not come out crunchy but will get sticky.
  3. In a wok, add sugar and water. Cook till you get single strand consistency.
  4. Add mawa and cook till it dissolves.
  5. Now add all the roasted nuts, coconut, almonds, melon seeds, cashews and gond.
  6. Stir well and turn off the flame.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes to cool down to bearable hot as we have to roll it into balls. Do not let it be too cool as then it will not bind.
  8. Mix cardamom powder and crushed mishri. Roll equal sized balls out of it. I got 14 balls.
  9. Fudgy delicious power packed balls are ready to serve. These stays good up to 15 to 20 days.
