ABOUT Coconut Sooji Malai Laddoo RECIPE

A tasty yummy laddoos made from fresh/dry coconut and sooji. Used for prasad vaidya to GOD on all religious occasions. These coco bites can be enjoyed even without any reason to sweet cravings.

Ingredients Serving: 15

  1. Rawa/Sooji - 2 cup
  2. Coconut Powder - Dry 2 cup
  3. Sugar - 2 cup
  4. Malai fresh - 1 cup or less
  5. Ghee - 1 tbspn
  6. Elaichi powder of 10 pc
  7. Badam ke chote tukde - 15 pc
  8. Water - 2 cups
  9. Saffron threads soaked in little milk/water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom kadhai. Take Rawa. Roast it nicely on low flame, When it becomes golden color, off the flame.
  2. Add malai, coconut powder and roast again. Take it in a big parat or thali. Let it cool.
  3. Next, Take a heavy bottom kadai. Add 2 cups of water in it and keep for boil.
  4. When water boils add sugar. Keep stirring till you get 1 thread syrup.
  5. Add Elaichi powder to it. Add soaked saffron too at this time.
  6. Mix and add roasted Sooji coconut mix to the syrup.
  7. Mix well and keep stirring till it leaves sides. Off the flame when the Sooji coconut mix leaves sides of the kadai.
  8. Add the badam cuttings to this mixture.
  9. Transfer this to a flat parat or plate. Spread it so that it gets cooled.
  10. Wet your palms, take a ball of Sooji coconut mix and roll to make laddoo.
  11. Then roll it in dry coconut powder kept in a separate plate (optional). Do for the rest.
  12. Your yummy Sooji coconut malai laddoos are ready.
