ABOUT Prawn Masala Curry With Coconut RECIPE

An easy and quick prawn curry recipe which can be made with simple basic ingredients which is easily available in your kitchen.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Prawns 300 grams
  2. Cinnamon 1 small stick
  3. Cardamom 2
  4. Cloves 2
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  6. Onion 1 large chopped finely
  7. Green chilly 3 chopped
  8. Tomato 1 large chopped finely
  9. Chilly powder 1 tsp
  10. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  11. Coriander powder 2 tsp
  12. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  13. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  14. Coconut 1/4 cup finely grated
  15. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Oil 4 Tsp
  18. Water 1 cup
  19. Coriander leaves few chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a pan.
  2. Add the whole spices and let it crackle.
  3. Add the onions, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, half of curry leaves and saute for 2 mins.
  4. Add the powdered masalas except the garam masala powder. Mix well and saute for a min.
  5. Add the prawns, cover the pan and cook in low flame till the water evaporates completely which will take around 5 mins or little more.
  6. Add 1 cup of water, garam masala powder, grated coconut, remaining curry leaves, mix well.
  7. Cook on high flame for around 10 mins stirring occasionally.
  8. Adjust the gravy consistency as per your requirement, add lemon juice and take off the flame.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
