Ingredients to make Garlic Bread

  • 500 gram all purpose flour
  • 7 gram dry yeast
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oregano or pizza seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 375 ml luke warm water
  • 100 gram butter
  • Bread crumbs

How to make Garlic Bread

  1. Combine water, sugar, olive oil and yeast together keep aside for 10 minutes
  2. Mix flour, salt and 1/2 tbsp oregano
  3. Check if yeast water is bubbling and dry ingredients and mix well
  4. Sprinkle some flour on your working table and knead the dough for 15 to 20 minutes
  5. Now place the dough in a greased bowel and also brush your dough with olive oil.
  6. Cover the dough with cling wrap and place it in a warm place for at least 2-3 hours.
  7. When your dough is thrice in size it is ready to go in the oven.Now punch the dough and take it out on a floured surface. Cut the dough in six equal parts and round them.
  8. Now the dough will rest for next 20 minutes
  9. Sprinkle bread crumbs on working table and place one of the ball in center and flatter the dough with finger just like a chapati
  10. Fold in half and sprinkle Oregon and melted butter,then slice them half way only. Repeat this step for rest of the dough.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven for 5 minutes at a 180 degree temperature then increase the temperature to 200 degree for next 10 minutes
  12. Add more butter and serve hot with cheese dip

My Tip:

If water is too warm yeast will not work so keep it luke warm.
