Ingredients Serving: 15

  1. Wheat Flour - 1/2 Cup
  2. Fresh Grated Coconut - 1 cup
  3. Pearl Millet Flour / Kambu Maavu - 2 tbsp
  4. Ragi Flour / Kezhvaragu Maavu - 2 tbsp
  5. Butter - 1/4 cup
  6. Jaggery - 1/2 cup
  7. Water - 1 tbsp (to melt and filter Jaggery)
  8. Almonds / Badam - 2 tbsp
  9. Cardamom / Elakkai - 2
  10. Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp
  11. Ghee / Clarified Butter - for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking tray with little ghee.
  2. Dry Roast all the Flours ( wheat flour,pearl millet,ragi) in a pan over low flame until the nice aroma comes from it and transfers to a mixing bowl.Mix with baking powder.
  3. Add almonds & cardamom in the same pan and dry roast until it turns to crispy.Let it cool completely.
  4. Take a mixer jar and grind it to a smooth powder and transfers to flour mixtures.Mix well the flour.
  5. Take a bowl and add jaggery along with 1 tbsp of water and melt it. once it dissolved completely filter the syrup using a sieve.
  6. Pour the filtered jaggery syrup to the flour mixture and 1 tbsp of milk.Mix well until it combined together.
  7. Now pre-heat the oven at 160C/320F for 10 minutes.
  8. Make small balls out of it and just flatten it gently by using your palms.
  9. Place all the cookies on the baking tray and bake them for 15 to 20 minutes or until the cookies to get cooked well. It seems to be soft when take them out but it will turn to crispy once it completely cooled.
  10. Once baked, allow it to cool completely and store it an air tight container.

You hvnt mentioned the use of 150 grms of butter in the method.
