Ingredients to make Veg stromboli

  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • yeast 3/4 tsp
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 2 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • For filling :
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • capsicum diced 1/2 cup
  • onion diced 1/2 cup
  • tomatoes diced 1/4 cup
  • paneer diced 1 cup
  • green chillies chopped 2-3
  • tomato Sauce 2 tbsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Basil 1 tsp
  • Mozzarella cheese

How to make Veg stromboli

  1. Mix yeast and sugar in 1/4 cup Luke warm water ,keep aside for 5-6 minutes
  2. Mix together,wheat flour,all purpose flour,salt and oil
  3. When yeast activates add to flour and make dough by adding required water
  4. Knead the dough for 6-8 minutes
  5. Apply oil all over the dough and place it in greased bowl ,cover with wet cloth and keep at warm place for an hour
  6. Filling
  7. Heat oil ,add onion,capsicum,tomatoes
  8. Cook for 5-7 minutes then add tomato sauce,salt and cook till there is no moisture left
  9. Then add paneer and oregano switch off the heat let it cool
  10. Dough:
  11. After an hour dough will double in size
  12. Take out and knead again for 5 minutes
  13. Now roll the dough half inch thick
  14. Place half the filling in centre now cut mozzarella slices and place on it then cover with rest of the filling length wise
  15. Make cuts on the sides leaving half inch space
  16. Apply water with brush on the edges
  17. Then start folding them taking one from right and other from left side
  18. Place on baking sheet
  19. Apply milk with brush, sprinkle basil and flax seeds and keep it at warm place for 20-30 minutes
  20. Then bake at 180° C for 30-35 minutes in preheated oven

My Tip:

To make sure the dough is properly kneaded push the dough with fingers and if the dough rises back it is ready
