ABOUT Fish fry RECIPE

A very easy to make Pomfret fish fry. Fried yet juicy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pomfret - 1 kg (each fish cut into 2pcs)
  2. Onions-3 medium
  3. Tamarind - 1lemon sized ball
  4. Chilli powder - 1tsp
  5. Turmeric - 1 tsp
  6. Garam masala - 2tsp
  7. Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
  8. Dhania jeera powder - 2tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak the tamarind in little water
  2. Take a deep vessel and add the fish along with all the dry masalas
  3. Add the chopped onions
  4. Add the tamarind pulp
  5. Add salt and chopped coriander leaves
  6. Now mix well, cover and keep for 30 mins
  7. Can keep it in the fridge
  8. Now Take a flat pan add 2 to 3 tsps of oil
  9. Arrange few peices on the pan
  10. Cook on medium flame
  11. Keep turning the fish once or twice so that onions are well cooked with the fish
  12. Can add little oil while flipping in between
  13. Serve with hot steamed rice and dal
