ABOUT Paneer Gulab Jamun RECIPE

Gulab jamun is a dessert often eaten at festivals, birthdays or major celebrations such as marriages, the Muslim celebrations of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and the Hindu festival of Diwali (the Indian festival of light). There are various types of gulab jamun and every variety has a distinct taste and appearance. Today tried gulab jamun with paneer. Was a little worried how will the turn out but the turned out very well, super soft and yummy

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cup paneer ( crumbled cottage cheese )
  2. 1 cup khoya ( evaporated milk )
  3. 3 tbsp maida ( all purpose flour )
  4. 2 Tsp Cardamom powder
  5. 1 tsp Baking powder
  6. Milk for kneading dough as required
  7. Oil for frying
  8. 10 to 12 raisins
  9. 2 cups sugar
  10. 1 Cup water

Instructions

  1. Take paneer, maida , 1 tsp cardamom powder and khoya . Mix it well by hands and make a soft dough by using milk as required. Don’t over knead it
  2. Make small balls with raisins stuffed inside and fry them on medium flame in oil ( ghee is much preferable for frying )
  3. Take 2 cups sugar in a pan add 1 cup of water , add cardamom powder and cook it till the sugar dissolve. You can also add saffron
  4. Put the fried balls in sugar syrup and let them rest for 1/2 an hour
  5. Gulab Jamun are ready Garnish with finely chopped pistachio
