Relishing mutton dish cooked with onion gravy

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 grams meat
  2. 8 to 10 onions(chopped)
  3. Cinnamon(1),bay leaf, black cardamom, green cardamoms(2), cloves(4)
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1.5 tbsp
  5. Coriander and cumin powder (1/2 tbsp each)
  6. Black pepper powder (1/2 tsp)
  7. Kashmiri mirch powder 1 tbsp
  8. 2-3 green chillies slit
  9. 1/4 cup water
  10. Edible oil(2 tbsp)
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a pressure cooker and add onion in it.
  2. Add all the spices and meat and mix together.
  3. Add oil and 1/4 cup water to the mixed ingredients and then close the cooker lid.
  4. Pressure cook for 5-6 whistles so that onion gravy is also ready and meat is nicely cooked by then.
  5. Open the lid and if you find the gravy thin, cook the meat on high flame for around 5 more minutes till the desired gravy thickness.
  6. Add chopped coriander for garnish.
