its a sooji halwa which my mom taught me which will make you happy instantly!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. semolina (rava/sooji) : any 1 medium bowl full
  2. sugar : same 1 bowl full (used to measure rava)
  3. milk : 3 bowls
  4. ghee : 1 bowl
  5. cardamom powder : half tea spoon
  6. saffron : 5-6 strands
  7. dry fruits : chopped almonds cashews

Instructions

  1. In a non stick kadai, add 1 bowl of melted ghee
  2. add 1 bowl full of rava to the ghee and roast till light golden brown
  3. now add 3 bowls of milk to the mixture, and cover immediately.
  4. After a minute, add bowl of sugar + half teaspoon of cardamom powder
  5. cover and let it cook for 3-4 minutes. Add saffron strands and cover it with the lid, after a minute switch off the gas.
  6. top it up with dry fruits and serve hot !

should the milk be boiled or cold
