ABOUT Stuffed bread pakora with leftover rice batter RECIPE

Pakora stuffed with green chutney, tomato ketchup and cheese. Dipped in rice and besan batter and deep fried.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Leftover rice 1 cup
  2. Besan 1 cup
  3. Bread slices (preferably brown) 5 to 6 pieces
  4. Green Chutney (Coriander) 1 cup
  5. Tomato ketchup 1 cup
  6. Cheese grated 1/2 cup
  7. Ginger paste 1 heaped tsp
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Turmeric powder as per taste
  10. Chilli powder as per taste
  11. Sesame seeds 1 tsp
  12. Ajwain 1 tsp
  13. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Blend rice with a very little water. Add besan, salt, turmeric, chilli powder, ajwain, sesame seeds and ginger paste. Add water and make the pakora batter.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, cut bread slices in 4 ( take a big sliced bread). Apply chutney to 1 slice and ketchup to the other one. Fill grated cheese between the two slices. Add a tsp full of hot oil in batter. Dip in the sandwiched slices together in batter.
  3. Deep fry this stuffed pakora and serve hot with a cup of hot tea or coffee.
