Party starter with tomato peas and coconut as main ingredient

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tomato 4
  2. Crushed Peas 50gms
  3. Grated Coconut 2 tbspoon
  4. 4 Potato medium size
  5. Bread 4 slice
  6. Bread crumbs 2 tablespoon
  7. Cornflour 2 tbspoon
  8. Grated ginger 1 teaspoon
  9. 2 green chilly
  10. Lemon half teaspoon
  11. salt as per taste
  12. Chaat masala
  13. Oil for frying
  14. Cashew nuts 1 tbspoon
  15. Resins 6-7

Instructions

  1. For the stuffing: Combine boiled and crushed peas and grated coconut in a bowl
  2. Add grated ginger, fine cut chilly, salt (half teaspoon), lemon(half teaspoon) and chaat masala (half tea spoon)
  3. Add resins and cashew nuts
  4. Mix properly and keep aside.
  5. Cut the tomatoes from the top (lid) and scoop out the pulp.
  6. Fill the masala properly inside. Then put the lid back on tomato.
  7. For the potato paste: Mash the potatoes, add soaked bread slices.
  8. Add half teaspoon of salt and lemon.
  9. Mix properly.
  10. Take a small ball size of the potato paste and flatten it on your palm.
  11. Wrap the tomato with the flattened potato paste so that the whole tomato is covered.
  12. Final steps: Now coat the balls with the bread crumbs properly
  13. Deep fry in hot oil on medium flame till they turn golden brown from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  14. Plating: Cut it into half
  15. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
