lauki / doodhi
Milk
sugar as per taste
ghee
Dry fruits for garnishing (Almonds & Cashews)
raisins a few
cardamom powder
Few drops of green colour
Instructions
Wash and peel the lauki.
Grate it well. Squeeze out the excess water as much as possible.
Heat a pan, add grated lauki to it. Simmer for a few minutes allow the water to evaporate. Add ghee and mix well. Roast for a few minutes.
Add milk and let it cook for some time. When all the milk get mixed, add sugar and at this moment add 2-3 teaspoons of ghee to give richness to the halwa.
Add cardamom powder, dryfruits and raisins. And few drops of green colour.
MIx well and serve hot.
