Ingredients to make Dhokla

  • besan 2 cups
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • salt 1 tsp
  • sugar 2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1 pinch
  • mustard seeds
  • curry leaves 6-7
  • green chillies 2-3
  • Eno 1 sachet
  • water 1 cup

How to make Dhokla

  1. Mix besan, curd, salt and 1 tbsp sugar and turmeric powder
  2. Mix 1/2 cup of water into it to make a batter, make sure no lumps are created, keep it aside for 5 min
  3. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and sliced green chillies in it. After saute, add 1/2 cup of water and 1 tbsp sugar. Let it cooked for 2 min till the the gravy lathers. let the gravy cool down now
  4. Grease the baking tray with olive oil. Add a sachet of Eno in the batter stir it rigorously. After a few secs when you find the volume of the batter increasing, pour it in the baking tray.
  5. Microwave for 5 minutes
  6. After your dhokla is baked, cut it into pieces as required and pour the gravy in it.
