Chocolate Cake

Ingredients to make Chocolate Cake

  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tbsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 2 tsp milk
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk (milkmaid)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • For ganache:
  • 200 gm chocolate
  • 100 gm fresh cream
  • For garnishing:
  • White chocochips a few
  • 1 tbsp jam
  • For sugar syrup:
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup water

How to make Chocolate Cake

  1. Sift all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder two times and keep aside.
  2. Mix butter, sugar, condensed milk and curd in a blender.
  3. Mix dry and wet ingredients together. Make the batter, if the batter is thick then add milk.
  4. In a kadai, put one cup salt and fix a stand. Preheat for 5 minutes on a high flame.
  5. Pour the cake batter into a greased baking mould and bake the cake for 30 minutes. You can check the cake in the middle of cooking.
  6. Make ganache: Grate chocolate, take a pan and boil the cream. Add it to the chocolate and cover for 4 minutes. Mix cream and chocolate well for a smooth ganache.
  7. For the sugar syrup: Take a pan, add sugar, water and cinnamon. Just boil once.
  8. Pour some sugar syrup on to the cake and then pour the ganache.
  9. Garnish with white chocolate chips and jam.

My Tip:

You can use fruit juice instead of sugar syrup.
