ABOUT Whole wheat ragi chocolate cooker cake RECIPE

I have already tried eggless cooker cake couple of times and this time tried chocolate cake with wheat flour and ragi flour. This cake is soft, fluffy and moist just like the cake baked in oven. I have frosted the cake with cookie chocolate custard that I prepared separately as a dessert.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Ragi flour 1 cup
  3. Cocoa powder 2 tsp
  4. Melted butter 1/4 cup
  5. Baking Soda 1/2 tsp
  6. Baking powder 1 tsp
  7. Sugar 2 Cups
  8. Milk 1/2 cup or a little more

Instructions

  1. Sieve the wheat and ragi flour, transfer to the mixing bowl. Add cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and mix well.
  2. Take sugar in another bowl, add melted butter and milk to it and mix well until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix gently to get thick batter in slightly pouring consistency.
  4. Grease the pan with butter or ghee and sprinkle little wheat flour.
  5. Pour the batter to a greased pan and place it inside the cooker filled with salt for about an inch.
  6. Remove gasket and whistle of the cooker and close the lid.
  7. Keep it in high flame for about 5 minutes and lower the flame for about 35-40 minutes or until the cake is done.
  8. Let it come to room temperature then invert it to a plate. Slice and serve.
