Palak Paneer

Ingredients to make Palak Paneer

  • palak 2 bundles
  • 2 Chopped onions
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 2 tomatoes
  • garlic 5 pieces
  • jeera 1/2 tsp
  • butter 1 tsp
  • Cubed paneer 1/2 kg
  • ginger 1/2 inch (Chopped in small pieces)
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Palak Paneer

  1. Boil palak and tomatoes for one whistle. Grind it.
  2. Heat the pan, add butter and keep on a low flame.
  3. Add jeera, chopped garlic and let it fry till a nice aroma comes.
  4. Add chilli and onions. Fry till golden brown.
  5. Add garam masala and red chilli powder.
  6. Add palak puree, ginger and salt.
  7. Cook for a minute. Add paneer and cook for another 2 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.

My Tip:

After boiling palak immediately wash with iced water, which maintains the greenish colour, and palak paneer gravy looks pure green in colour. Also if you love crispy paneer, please roast paneer on tava.
