ABOUT Chocogullas (Chocolate Rasagullas) RECIPE

Rasagulla is a traditional Bengali sweet prepared from paneer. This soft juicy spongy sweet balls is one of our favourite sweets. For a change I have made this rasagullas with melted chocolate Chocogullas for the chocolate lovers and specially for cutie kids. Try these chocolaty chocogullas.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING PANEER OR INDIAN COTTAGE CHEESE
  2. whole milk - ½ litre for paneer & ¼ litre for melting chocolate
  3. lemon juice or vinegar – 2 tbsps
  4. ice cold water - 1 litre
  5. Cooking chocolate -5O grams +5o grams(for making rasagullas & for chocolate syrup .)

Instructions

  1. Cooking chocolate -5O grams +5o grams(for making rasagullas & for chocolate syrup .)
  2. Let the milk curdle. Switch off the stove and leave it for 2 mins. If the milk doesn’t curdle in 2 to 3 mins, add some more lemon juice while the milk is still boiling.
  3. Add ice cubes or chilled water to the curdled milk. Leave it aside for 2 to 3 minutes Filter and collect the cheese in a muslin cloth.
  4. Rinse the cheese under running water .
  5. Tie up the cloth and hang it for 45 minutes and drain excess water. Cheese should not have any water in it.
  6. Knead the cheese well with one tablespoon of maida to make it a smooth dough and keep it aside.
  7. Then boil the ¼ litre of milk for five minutes on high flame .reduce the flame and add the grated chocolate .
  8. Boil the milk and chocolate in a lower flame till the chocolate melts and then add paneer and after a few minutes add the sugar .
  9. Cook the paneer in the melted chocolate till it becomes thick.let it cool for sometime and make big lemon size balls.Melt some chocolate with milk and put the chocolate rasagullas in the melted chocolate.
  10. Your chocogullas are ready .
