Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For Rasgulla: 1 liter cow milk
  2. 1 tsp rava (semolina)
  3. 1 tsp sugar powder
  4. 1 tsp vinegar
  5. 1 pinch yellow food color
  6. For sugar syrup:
  7. 200 gm sugar
  8. 2 liter water

Instructions

  1. Add water, sugar and boil it till the sugar dissolves.
  2. For rasgulla: Boil milk in pan and continue stirring it.
  3. Turn off the flame. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Add vinegar in the boiled milk and stir gently. The milk will start to curdle and the whey will separate from it.
  4. Sieve this mixture in a muslin cloth and wash it immediately with running water. Press the paneer gently and squeeze the excess water. Press it with a heavy object and keep it for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the cloth and mash the paneer with hand for 7-8 minutes till it softens. Add powdered sugar, food color, rava and again mash it for 7-8 minutes.
  6. Make lemon size balls from the mixture and press it a little. Add these balls in boiling sugar syrup for 10 minutes. They will become double in size.
  7. Turn off the flame and let it cool in the sugar syrup for 2 hours. Chill in the fridge.
