ABOUT Mexican Churros with Chocolate Fondue RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 Cup Flour less 1tbsp cornflour
  2. 1 tbsp cornflour
  3. 1/4 tsp Baking pd.
  4. 1 Cup water
  5. 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  6. 1 tbsp oil
  7. 2 tbsp caster sugar
  8. 1/2 tsp cinnamon pd.
  9. 1/2 Cup Chopped Chocolate (50gms)
  10. 3/4 cup Thin cream

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, cornflour & baking pd. and keep aside.
  2. Boil together water , sugar & oil. Boil & remove from fire.
  3. Stir in flour & mix nicely until mixture becomes smooth like a dough & it forms a ball.
  4. Grease a piece of aluminium foil. put a dough in a cloth icing bag & with nozzle no 9. with pressure, pipe fingers on the aluminium foil.
  5. Heat oil in a kadhai for deep frying. Reduce heat. Put churros in oil & fry for about 5 mins. per batch on low med. heat until golden. Remove on paper towel.
  6. Immediately sprinkle churros with cinnamon & castor sugar. Mix well.
  7. Warm cream in a heavy bottom pan. Add chocolate, stir on a very low heat with a rubber spatula for a min. till chocolate melts & a smooth sauce is ready.
  8. Pour in a small bowl or a lighted fondue pot. Serve with churros.
