ABOUT Cheese Garlic Bread RECIPE

Who doesn’t like Garlic Bread? Wait, don’t answer that. Who doesn’t like Garlic Bread with Cheese? Even my parents who are generally garlic-dislikers would say yes to Garlic Bread especially if it came with some cheese on top. I made these Cheesy Garlic Bread as an appetizer for a small party for 6 people & Everyone just loved it :)

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour – Half kg
  2. Lukewarm Water / milk - as required to knead
  3. ½ cup butter
  4. 1.5 tsp - Instant Active yeast
  5. 2 spn garlic powder
  6. 2 to 3 garlic cloves (crushed & finely chopped)
  7. ½ spn onion powder
  8.  2 tbsp chopped parsley leaves (you can use dry parsley as well)
  9. 4 spn Parmesan cheese
  10. 1 cup mozzarella cheese (if you do not have mozzarella cheese, then you can use grated amul cheese)
  11. 1 tsp chopped parsley leaves (you can use dry parsley leaves as well)

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, yeast and sugar in a large bowl. Stir in salt. Make a well in the centre. Add milk and butter.
  2. Mix the mixture until its well combined, and prepare a dough together in the bowl. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  3. Brush a large bowl with oil to grease. Place the dough in the bowl and cover with a damp towel. Set aside in a warm place for 45 minutes - 1 hour to rise up or until the dough has almost doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the centre of the dough with your fist. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 2 minutes again.
  5. Slice the dough into equal sizes. Take each slice and roll between your palms to get a smooth round roll.
  6. Make rolls this way and place them in a greased tray keeping 1 inch space between all of them. Cover and allow the second rise for 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  8. Mix together butter, garlic powder, onion powder & garlic cloves and parsley leaves in a bowl. Spread all over the rolls in a baking sheet.
  9. Sprinkle over the Parmesan & mozzarella cheese or grated amul cheese.
  10. Bake in preheated oven until butter is melted and bread toasted for 15 to 20 minutes.
