Veg. noodles

Ingredients to make Veg. noodles

  • Hakka noodles 2 blocks
  • carrots long 2 inch long, 1/2cup
  • onion thin slices, 1/2 cup
  • capsicum thin slices, 2 inch long,1/2 cup
  • cabbage chopped, 2 inch long,1/2 cup
  • Green chilli 2 long, cut into 2 inch long
  • curry leaves 1 strand (optional)
  • Soya sauce 1 tablespoon
  • garlic -3 pods
  • salt sufficient
  • pepper 1 tablespoon
  • oil 3 tablespoon

How to make Veg. noodles

  1. 1) Add hakka noodles in a steel utensil with sufficient amount of water , add salt and 1 tablespoon oil and boil for 5 minutes and stir in between.
  2. 2) in a wok, add remaining oil - let it heat for 10 seconds and add garlic.
  3. 3) Add onion and fry till it becomes transparent.
  4. 4) Add green chilli, curry leaves, carrots, capsicum, cabbage 1 by one along with salt and leave it for 5 mins till completely cooked.
  5. 5) Meanwhile ,check whether noodles are cooked (half boiled) preferebly and drain extra water and add oil and seperate the noodle strands and keep it a side.
  6. 6) After the vegies are ready add noodles,Soya sauce and mix it completely with 2 cooking spoons and if needed add little oil and stir for 30 seconds.
  7. 7) Add pepper and stir well for 1 minute.
  8. 8) Garnish it with green chilli sauce/ tomato sauce along with onion rings.

My Tip:

1) If you prefer to have it spicy then you can add capsicum, green chillies in the quantity mentioned above otherwise reduce the quantity if giving for children. 2) If you do not like the taste of curry leaves you can omit it.
