ABOUT Stuffed capsicum RECIPE

Easy to prepare, yummy dish. Ideal for Navratri fasting as it contains no onion or garlic.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Capsicum - 5
  2. Besan 1 cup
  3. Roasted and coarsely powdered peanuts - 1 cup
  4. Green chillies - 2 (optional)
  5. Coriander leaves - finely chopped, 1/2 cup
  6. Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  7. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  8. Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  9. Oil - 2 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Mustard - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients except mustard in a mixing bowl. Stuffing masala is now ready.
  2. Wash and cut the capsicums into halves. Scrape all the seeds. Stuff them with masala.
  3. In a non-stick pan, preferably flat, heat oil. Add mustard. Once it splutters, arrange the stuffed capsicums and close the lid. Cook covered for 5 minutes on low flame. You can sprinkle a few drops of water if required.
  4. Now open the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes. Switch off the flame.
  5. Serve hot.
