ABOUT Sabudana Khichdi RECIPE

Navratris is the time when we fast for 9 days and break it with a puja for girls. Many of us give up non veg, eggs etc during this period. Kittu aata and sabudana are used primarily during this fast. My husband and kids love to have this khichdi even when they are not fasting. Hope you all like it too.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1.5 cups sabudana
  2. 1/2 cup peanuts
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 2 tsp sugar
  5. 2 Tsp Lemon
  6. 1 green chilli (chopped)
  7. 1/4 cup Coriander (roughly chopped)
  8. 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Soak sabudana for 2 hours.
  2. After 2 hours, drain it.
  3. Take a pan and roast the peanuts.
  4. Take out the roasted peanuts in a plate.
  5. Heat oil in the pan and add green chilli.
  6. Add sabudana to it.
  7. Keep stirring.
  8. Add salt and sugar and stir.
  9. Add lemon juice to it and stir again.
  10. Add the chopped coriander and peanuts to it.
  11. Give a stir until all is well mixed.
  12. Serve hot.
  13. Garnish with coriander.
