This dish is my Mummy's experiment, comes out very tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 2
Maida - half cup
Saunf pwd - half tsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Homemade khoya - half cup
Cardamom pwd - half tsp
Cinnamon pwd - half tsp
Sugar - as per taste
Mix chopped dry fruits
Sugar - 1/4 cup for syrup
Water - less than sugar
Saffron threads - few
Pista - few
Instructions
Take a bowl, add maida, saunf powder n ghee, mix well knead a dough with little water.
In another bowl add khoya, chopped dry fruits, sugar, cardamom powder n cinnamon powder
Now make equal shape of small balls from dough.
Take 1 ball, roll it in shape of small puri, put little portion of khoya mixture on half side of it, cover the half part, close it in D shape with the help of your thumb n finger using few drops of water, close it just like momos.
Make all gujiyas like this.
Now heat the pan, make sugar syrup, we do not need any tar in syrup, just make thin sugar syrup, add saffron n pista in it (low flame).
On another stove side by side heat normal tawa on medium flame after few minutes turn the flame on lower side.
Take a idli aluminium plate, grease it with few drops of ghee (each idli mould).
Put gujiya on each idli mould, now place the idli plate on tawa cover it with heavy bottom pan.
Cook it for about 12 minutes on low fame, than flip all gujiyas n again cook them for about 2-4 minutes.
After cook, cool them in a plate for 2 minutes and then give them a dip of two minutes in sugar syrup.
Enjoy tawa gujiyas without frying and without baking.
